  On the 6^th of May, 2009 Maine subjected God’s plan for marriage to the vagaries of man’s law by allowing same sex marriage.

We thank you for joining us in the next stage in this struggle, by supporting the effort called “A People’s Veto” which provides a means for a popular vote overturning the Governor’s approval of this law.

On the 31^st of July, 2009 over 100,000 petition signatures were handed in to the Secretary of State for Maine.

Now, we ask that you continue to support this effort in many different ways.

First, remember to pray often concerning this issue, and to ask all you know who are faithful to pray as well.

Praise God often for this work He has done!

Next, continue to discuss this with your church leadership and fellow members, as well as family and friends.

Remind people that they are going to need to plan on voting in the next election.   Help them remain informed of the ballot question and explain to them what a yes vote means.
